Mike is a retired electrician. Mike
served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was stationed in Duluth, Minnesota and Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Mike was the candidate for N.C. Senate 36 in 2002 and 2004. Mike was the Democrat candidate for N.C. Senate 36 in
2006. He narrowly lost the 2008 N.C. Senate 36 Democratic primary . Mike was elected to the Cabarrus
County Board of Education in 2008
